Checking around on all the other blogs, I see picture after picture of gorgeous snow scenes. Wide open spaces of quiet, serene, drifting snow. Pictures of frozen little red berries with tiny snow caps. Tree branches loaded with the white clingy stuff, transforming them into works of art. Frozen ponds glistening in the sunlight. Big fluffly snowflakes softly floating down under street lights. That’s what I see on other blogs. That’s not what I see here. I have the ugly snow. Flat, uninteresting, plain old pain in the butt snow, that I can hardly bear to look at let alone take a picture of.
So no, I will not bore you with a picture of my ugly snow. I will however, bore you with a picture of my ugly car.

Oh, come on Flydragon. Can't you find a snow drift that reminds you of a sculpture or tracks in the snow that show abundant wildlife in your garden?
Surely you can be grateful for the pristine white covering all the brown.
No-okay, I agree. I've had enough of this stuff too! :}
I think you're whining...
I'm with you. Had enough with the snow and the frigid temp. (had to look frigid up in my old dictionary) The snow does look kind of pretty just after dusk. If you peek your head out the door it also sounds sooo quiet. Middle sis
I'm with you...that's UGLY! Okay, maybe not ugly...just unsightly? Yuck...snow...boo hiss.
Come on out (down?) to where it's in the 70's...better come now, though...it will be 90's before we know it.
Girl, since I'm looking for the beauty in things I find that pretty. Of course, I'm glad it's not on my car. That makes it even prettier! hehe!
Do I see your neighbor's ugly blue tarp still??????
Well, Flydragon, I've been pretending I love snow all winter. I thought I would begin to believe it if I told that lie enough times. Hasn't happened yet.
Let me try again. Your snow covered car is a thing of great beauty. Snow is bright and glittery like our days in this land of northern fun and frolic;) We wouldn't trade one snowflake for all the beaches in Florida. Are you buying this?
Marnie
beckie,
No way am I going out hunting for tracks in this 10* weather. No I'm not grateful for the tons of white stuff covering up the tons of brown stuff.
I'm not happy and not grateful. What I am is TIRED OF THIS.
Other than that everything is hunky dory.
Rudee,
I'm not just whining, I'm wailing and moaning out loud.
Sister B,
It also sounds sooo quiet inside, which is where I'll be keeping my head, thank you.
Betty,
UGLY is the word!!
90*?? It will be 114* over/down there before you know it:)
Susie,
If it was your car, I'd be laughing too, but also wondering what the heck is going on if that much snow got that far south.
Mildred,
Ha, yes you do. I was going to say something about it but decided I'd wait to see if anyone noticed:))
Marnie,
I'd be more apt to buy that old mining stock some shyster is trying to sell, than your malarkey about the wonders of this white crap.
You should move that thing once in a while so the snow doesn't pile up on it. By the way, you have alternatives to staying there all winter!!!!!
Fla Brat (AKA FD#3)
Fla brat,
All that snow came at once and once the plow comes down the drive, it plows me in instead of out. Can't dig myself out anymore so there it stays. A January thaw right about now would come in handy.
I was just going to volunteer to send you a few tons of the white stuff to decorate your yard until I got to your photo:) Ah, yes, the snow is so beautiful--in photos. The drifts in my driveway and long lane are another story, however.
How many days until spring??
Hey, I can't see your ugly car on account of all that ugly snow! Why not get out there and brush it off! ;~P
Yes, city snow is definately not pretty. But out a little ways, it's gorgeous - sparkly & crunchy. The birds look so beautiful against the white backdrop, especially the cardinals. I'll take this over 95 degrees of sweltering, humid, sweaty, lethargic mid-summer. Even the roses won't bloom in it.
i'd be happy to come & dig... we can have heart attacks together. if you need a ride anywhere, you know my phone # (i think).
durn snow, i'm soooooooooo over it.
Well, sorry to blaspheme, but I would love to get at least one good snowfall here before winter is over. Especially if it is going to be this darned cold - it may as well snow! Can I come over to your place and build a snowman?
Rose,
You were going to send me snow out of the goodness of your heart and not just because you were wanting to get rid of yours, right?
Waaaaay too long till spring, I want it now!!
TC,
I think it's better for the car if you let the snow just melt on it's own. I'm pretty sure I read that somewhere, or heard that somewhere, or maybe I just made that up. Either way........
Di,
You are crazy, just like we thought all along.
NVAM,
Nope, no digging out is gonna happen. I'm beginning to like the way it looks.
DG,
Yes, yes, yes, come over and build lots of snowmen, snowladies, and snowdogs. Start with the snow on the car, around the car, and probably in the car. And then, since I let you play, maybe you'd like to run a few errands for me while you're out there.
BRRRRRR!! I'm cold just looking at that. YUK!! Ok, I really do like my winter weather here in the desert, but I am not looking forward to my 120 degree heat, which will be here soon enough, so bring on the snow pictures!!
T,
Snow pictures do look nice to someone sitting in 70* sunshine, don't they. Not so nice when you're in 6* temps. though:)
Me too...hate snow, bring on spring.
Hey, I've got an ugly truck covered in snow like that! Always trying to look on the bright side...it covers my ugly dirt!
Good Morning - I cracked up when I saw your comment on tussie-mussies this a.m.! I was too polite and speaking of the meaning of flowers, I once saw a florist van and painted on the side it said "Pampas Grass for the Pompas ****!!!!!!!!!!" I was too polite to print that too!
oldcrow,
Since 99% of us agree on that, and the majority rules, WHY HASN'T SPRING ARRIVED!!!!
spooky,
I never thought of it that way. Thanks, I feel better about it now. (NOT)
Mildred,
I knew that was the reason:)) Ha, I love that sign on the truck.
Hate to admit it, but I think I'd like to see some snow to go with the cold! So far, we haven't had much at all, but below zero temp! Better be careful what I wish for, right?
SisterNan
ouch...
i am now suffering from cough & colds, though we still dont have a single snowflake!
maybe that is why, God put me here, i am not sure if i can stand that cold!!
Nan,
With the temps being this cold, this stuff never melts and just keeps piling up and up and just keeps everything colder for longer. Still wishing for some?
KALI,
I'm sure that's why you're there and not here. I'm not sure why I'm here though:)
Hope you get rid of your coughs and colds and are feeling better soon.
Sure does look like regular pain in the butt snow to me! Why don't you make a snowman!
Thanks for your comments when I was so sick..they helped me get better! :) Connie
Farside,
I'm so glad you're able to be up and about a little bit. That's such a nasty bug for us "older but better" ...sweeties?...ladies?...cuties?...or whatever we're called now-a-days. Take it slow and easy Connie, and don't overdo it.
yeah. and well, it's 80 in phoenix today.
just sayin'.
NVAM,
Yeah and it's 20* here, so what's your point?
LOL...all cars look pretty even in ugly snow!
Hi inadverent farmer,
I admit a little snow on the car hides a multitude of sins:)
Thanks for stopping over. I read your blog all the time. It cracks me up that you have a camel. The rest of the blog also cracks me up:)
