You all know by now, how this cold, cold, cold, snowy weather affects me. When the temps. don’t manage to climb above freezing but one day out of 10. The only day I’m willing to trudge down to the store. (Walking down the middle of the street because the sidewalks are still impassable and yes, the car’s still stuck)
Bad girl, bad girl
Whatcha gonna do
Whatcha gonna do
When it gets to you

Hahahaha! Good on ya.
i'll be right there
Looks like the perfect plan to me flydragon!
Definitely need to teach you to knit. There are far fewer calories involved.
Step away from the twinkies.
No go ahead, everyone deserves some treats when the weather is this yucky.
Jen
Betty,
Always need a little? comfort food, right?
NVAM,
Better hurry, cause you know me.
Susie,
Me too, me too!!
Rudee,
But....does yarn taste quite as sweet?
Jen,
If I step away from the twinkies, it just puts me that much closer to the oreos.
Ooh, you were a bad girl at the store! Sweets to get you though the winter, good excuse. Hope you get rid of the snow before too long. I had to chuckle at you saying that your snow was ugly, not pretty like other's peoples. Sounds like something I would have said in the past. But this year, I've changed my tune. I'm enjoying the beauty of the snow and ice, while still wishing like heck that it was gone! LOL
GO, Flydragon! YESSS!
What time shall I come over with a stack of chick flicks...?
:^) Anna
Sheesh! What, are you preparing to hibernate for the rest of the winter? (Not a bad idea, actually.... pass the twinkies!)
Hi Msrobin,
Let me in on your secret about enjoying this stuff. I tried, but it isn't working for me:)
Hey Anna,
If you're not here soon, you'll have to bring some more goodies with you:)
DG,
Rest of the winter?? I'm hoping this stash will last for at least 10 days until the next 35* day comes along.
Harriet wants to know how you ever managed without her to carry the kisses in her backpack??? With the exception of Twinkies, you have all of my very favorites. I sure wish you could thaw out - I know how tired you are of the snow. If it's any consolation I just had the wind to blow me thru the parking lot here in Georgia. Cold, windy and a few flurries!
Oh, yes, comfort food:) My pantry contains much the same items; and I wonder why I'm not losing any weight:)
You are my kind of girl. Thanks for stopping by my blog. I love the balloon picture. And the junk food!!!
Are ya gonna eat that all by yourself?? Or are you having a party? :)
Hi from the nort' country. As they say around here, " Look at dat, still snowin like a b*****d!" I am surviving by jamming chocolate into my mouth , reading my seed catalogs , and not looking out at all the falling white stuff....
Love it....I'm right there with you.
XXXXXX
oh! snow and chocolates are good combination!!!
i cant wait for the blog re: weighing scale :)
Mildred,
Tell Harriet where there's a will, there's a way:)
I can just picture you flying through the parking lot..lol.
Rose,
I can't figure where the weight is coming from either:) I'm sure it's just because I'm wearing more clothes, not because of something I ate.
Jan,
In my house that's not junk food, it's necessary staples:) Glad you like the balloons, it was fun making them.
farside,
A party of one:)
kathi,
I've said that myself quite a few times:) You and I seem to have the same solution too.
Cheryl,
A little sweet stuff certainly does help, doesn't it.
KALI,
Now that is one post you will never ever see on here!!!
I use to love putting the twinkies in the freezer and eating them when the filling got a little hard and cold (yeah, it was summer then). Yummmmmmmmmmy.
Save some for me when I visit. Wait, what am I saying? I know they are probably already gone!
FD#3
Oh my goodness FD, I totally understand. Been there, done that!
Or should I be honest and say:
I'm there and doing that:)
...and I don't even have snow!
Fla brat,
Twinkies are also good when used as the cake in strawberry shortcake. Talk about yummmmmmy.
Why don't you come visit now, you know you really want some of this white stuff, and I don't mean the filling.
Jan,
lol, I like an honest gal:)
OK, transfats be damned, I agree mental health is more important at this point. I recommend a cute playful kitty, it would greatly ease those winter doldrums. :)
Why don't you pack some trash and come visit me. I have a whole closet full of twinkies, hersheys, butternuts, and milkyways (yes, I know you use to love those too). I also have a freezer full of shrimp, lobster, steaks, and cheesecake. My fridge is full of cheese and beer. And to top it all off, we can sit outside in our shorts and t's and enjoy all that. Hard to turn down, isn't it?
FD#3
Okay, I have it on good authority that "junk food" is not all junk. Well, it's all junk, but the thing is, we need that junk in the winter to help build a layer of fat to protect us from the elements. It's scientific.
You forgot peanut butter cups - or has that peanut butter thing ruined my favorite candy too?
Spring, yeah, it IS coming.
Di,
You're probably right about the kitty, but unless one comes digging through the snow to get to my door, I'll be doing without:)
Fla brat,
Mmmmmmm. How about shipping your closet, freezer, and fridge up here? No need to send the shorts.
pumpkin,
I'm no scientist but I certainly agree with that:) Extra fat is definitely needed around here and I'm glad I could help out in their study.
I love peanut butter cups too, but since they have new recalls almost daily, I didn't even look for them.
Junk food? You've got some major food groups there. Milk in the chocolate. Isn't there some banana stuff in the twinkies? Gotta be some grains in the cookies. So you have a healthy snack of fruit, milk and cereals. You did forget the other perfect food--pizza.
Marnie
Marnie,
I knew you would see the wisdom of my choices.
No room for pizza in my bags otherwise you can bet I would have stocked up on that too:)
Hey, did someone forget to invite me to the party?
T,
Come on over, and bring your stash with you. (I know you have one)
Looks good to me. Ok so I'm addicted to Butterfingers
Flydragon, the little cut up flowers are witch hazel. Aren't they pretty?
They smell great also.
Jen
troutbirder,
I'm addicted to the kisses which is why I had to buy 3 bags of those:)
Jen,
They are so cute!! I've never seen witch hazel before.
So, where's the problem? :))
Lisa
Lisa,
You're absolutely right. There is no problem here:)
ROFLMAO...now I want some chocolate and I have that song stuck in my head!
Hi inadvertent farmer,
I had that song stuck in my head when I was writing this post so I just decided to incorporate my own version into it:)
Not fussed on the oreos, love twinkies but have no idea what the other two are as we have very different sweets in the UK!!HOWEVER,I'm quite happy to come join the party and bring a goody bag of the vital necessities of life - chocolate, biscuits, crisps ......sound good?
Nutty,
Sounds excellent!! We'll be waiting for you and your bag of goodies:)
i have a cute, playful little kitty over here. she's somewhat satanic though. want i should bring her on over?
i had a witchhazel on sls. guess you missed it!
NVAM,
I'm thinking the satanic kitty fits in your house better than it would in mine.
I don't remember the witchhazel that you had. I miss quite a few things, then and now.
Looks good to me!
TC,
Tastes good to me:)
Good Friday Evening Flydragon,
Harriet posed for a Valentine photo if you have time to visit my blog. I hope you have a good weekend. Harriet says hugs!
Mmmm...Oreos! That's worth the trip right there!
Mildred,
LOLOLOLOL, Don't you just love her!!!!!!! I do.
I always visit your blog first thing in the mornings. Can't wait to see what goodies you come up with every day and of course to see what stylish outfit Harriet might decide to wear:)
Spooky,
The Oreos were the first to go:))
Darn good idea I'd say, lol.
oldcrow,
One of my best ideas I think:))
