Thank You

I just wanted to let you all know that we told Mom about your comments here and at my blog, and she did receive and read your cards. (Have you all seen Jen's cards at http://www.muddybootdreams.com/ - wow!!!)

While Mom would not allow for services to be held for her, I don't believe she would mind at all that her blog become a memorial of sorts to her wit, wisdom, and mad skills.

Here's one of Mom's favorite artists. I can't listen without crying (so I hope the quality is alright), but perhaps you can.

Thank you for allowing us to continue to leave messages and send cards to your Mom even through her Hospice stay. She touched each of our lives in a special way and we miss her but I know that as her family members the grief is even stronger. My prayers are with you all. My deepest sympathy to each of you.

Thank you for leaving up her blog. She was one of the first bloggers I met when I started my site. It amazes me how close one can feel to another by merely reading their words.

I could always, always count on her to make me laugh. Her sense of humor was the best! And her comments? Oh they are so priceless!

Prayers to you all.

I am so glad that you have left her blog up. Like Far Side says, it does make us feel better seeing it. She was such a delightful commentator, and a amazing blogger.

Gordon Lightfoot has been a absolute favorite of mine since I first realized what music was. Just another thread that binds us bloggers together as friends......

My thoughts and prayers go out to your family. We miss her.

Jen

To the family: To get an idea of how much your Mother/Sister was loved, look at the comments on not only my post in memory of her but also Connie's (Far Side of Fifty). We will continue to ask for God to comfort you in your time of loss.

Words just don't seem like enough...I wish peace for all of you. I know she loved you very much. You could read the love in what she wrote about her family.

She will be missed by all of us who came to love her sense of humor and her wit. It was pure joy to read her thoughts.

My prayers for all of you.

Thank you so much for keeping us posted about your mother. I will miss her sharp wit and humorous posts; I could always count on her to make me laugh. I believe that she is now in a place where the sun is always shining and hopefully, there is an infinite supply of chocolate.

It was obvious through her writing that she loved each of her favorite daughters so much. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. May you take comfort in the many fond memories you must have of your mother. She touched the lives of so many.

I'm really gonna miss FD's wit and very funny dry humor. She was one of a kind! We used to fire off at each other from time to time, and I was no match for her witty retorts!

I'm not sure how I ended up here but I'm sorry for your loss. That song is so poignant. And one of my always favorites. I hope the holiday season was filled with the peace of memories for you and your family.

I really miss you Pat. It's spring and I can't think about gardening without wondering about what
you are planning. I know that heaven will have some very beautiful flowers this year.

Far Side of Fifty said...

Ah Mother's Day has come and gone.

The little seedlings that she would have started and showed us growing were not planted this year. She cannot show off her flowers or weeds..

Hello Favorite Daughters, You were all special to her in your own way just like the flowers in her gardens..I am sure that you missed her this past Sunday on Mother's Day..but she would probably just tell you to get over it, she was a good friend:)

I never got to read her blog. I just came on it today. I am so sorry to hear she has passed on . I lost both my parents to cancer, and know your emotions. When my mom passed,I didn't paint for a year. She so enjoyed my art. Then my hubby said if I didn't use it I would loose it. I started painting and haven't stopped sence. She also loved her flowers, so I started planting. I now have 21 flower beds. When I am in the garden there is always a white butterfly . It makes me think of my mom and she semes close to me. I hope you pick up some of the things your mom did and continue doing them. It will seem like she is enjoying them with you. Kathy
